I really do not relate to the shoe fetish at all. I truly cannot see myself spending my hard-earned money on something like high-end shoes or purses. I've never had much room to collect anything, hated the thought of dusting other nick nacks, and could always find myself better things to spend my money one! I can't imagine how comfortable 5 inch heels would be. Maybe they say that the higher-end shoes fit better, but I don't know...I just can't bring myself to spend that kind of money!

Me either! I wouldn't mind a few nice pairs, don't get me wrong! But I would NEVER pay $500.00 for a pair of shoes! NO FIRGGIN WAY!!!!!!

I have only read the first book in this series (I will continue to read the rest). I think the expensive shoe fetish is an interesting character point, it helps tell us who Betsy is, gives her character, be it good or bad. I won't pay more than $200 for a pair of shoes but I have been known to buy a couple of $500 purses, but I do not have a closet full of either, got to leave room for the flip flops and payless shoes.
