Among the Brothers Rhage is the vampire with the largest needs and curse. Rhage is a great fighter, very impulsive, and has a reputation as a veracious lover. His appetites are directly caused by the curse cast by the Scribe Virgin. Rhage’s greatest fear is that there will come a time when his dragon will be released and he will kill those he cares for most.
Did you feel for Rhage and Mary? Was the ending a surprise? Dish darlings, dish!

I re-read LE and I like Rhage more than I did. I got past the looks this time as was able to focus more on the curse and the beast.
And I have to come clean...I balled when the Scribe Virgin made hom the offer to safe her  Yes I balled like a baby!!!!

I have to say I cried also when she made him the deal.  I've always liked Rhage. And the thought that he would make the deal and keep his "beast" in order to have Mary....well.....priceless

I just literally finished this book 2 minutes ago and absolutely loved it. I love the sacrifice and the eternal love story between Rhage and Mary. He was willing to sacrifice everything to save her. He made a deal even though it nearly killed him. I still have tears of love for them. Can't wait to start Lover Awakened.

I totally bawled like a baby, too. I think I cried at some point in every one of the books so far. I just finished Phury's tale.
I think Rhage's story is actually my favorite. Hollywood...gotta love it! And Mary is so surprising to be the one to tame him. So sad and yet the ending is probably one of the best! And as much as I do love V's story, something about that ending is just off to me...although Jane throughout the series was definitely kicker!
